Q- Are you a licensed staffing agency?
A- No. We are not a licensed business. We simply book professionals on behalf of our clients and make referrals. If booked on a job, you are being hired and paid directly by our clients. While you represent our high standards, you are first answerable directly to our clients.
Q- Do you take a percentage of our wages?
A- No. Our staff retains the entirety of their compensation by our clients. Based on the nature and size of the event, our clients pay us a separate fee for our staffing services.
Q- So what's in it for you?
A- AYS is our contribution to the service community. We are grateful to those who gave us a foot in this industry and desire to pass it on to others. We wish to support other industry professionals like ourselves who not only work for a living, but strive for excellence in the craft of hospitality. We aspire to continue assisting our clients with the best staffing in this city.
Q- What qualifications must I have to be included
in the AYS network?
A- Experience in the hospitality industry, a willingness to improve your skills and craft, the required uniforms in pristine condition, access to reliable transportation, and a motivated work ethic.
Q- Does my appearance matter?
A- The AYS network does not discriminate against race or gender. However based on the comfort of our clients, we do request the industry standards for grooming and code of conduct.
Q- How can I be considered for acceptance into the AYS network?
A- Click on the contact section and send us an email expressing your interest. Upon completion of a brief application with an attached resume, and a follow-up interview, we will add you to our database. We take our client relationships and reputation in this industry seriously. Therefore we reserve the right to deny acceptance of anyone who might not be a fit for our clients.
Q- Can I opt out of your database at any time?
A- Absolutely. You have no obligation to us except to give your best performance at any job we refer you for.
Q- Will any personal information I provide be kept confidential.
A- Absolutely. We only collect tax forms or COVID vaccination proof (if requested) on behalf of the companies who will be employing you. All document scans or emails will be deleted when no longer needed.

Q- May I be specific with whom I request for my events?
A- Absolutely. You reserve the right to be specific about whom you invite into your home or event.
Q- What does it cost to hire professionals from the AYS network?
A- That varies based on your event needs, distance from greater Los Angeles area and special holidays. We do ask for a standard 5 hour minimum for all jobs.
Q- How can I pay the staff who work for me?
A- You make payments to the staff via check or cash. For larger staffing, we will be available to assist with the distribution of payment.
Q. How can I ensure the securing of quality workers?
A. We personally screen each staff member before adding them to our database, and eventually booking them for a job. In addition, we follow up with our clients after every event for feedback on our staff. Your feedback is discretely and professionally passed on to our staff so that they may use your comments as an opportunity for improvement.
Q- Can I book staff outside of the LA area?
A- Yes. Travel expenses, and per diem can be added to their individual invoices.
